Donovan then operated the Lumbermen’s Hospital (1916) on Broadway Ave. Donovan discusses the 1918 flu epidemic in Bend, when the Amateur Athletic Club became a makeshift hospital and patients were treated with quinine, camphorated oil, and moonshine whiskey.
